Each work on the LSO's April 7 program tells a story relating to one of our most precious resources – water. The first half, featuring Elgar's Sea Pictures with mezzo-soprano Sarah Barber, recounts the individual’s experiences and feelings towards water including its beauty, temptations, symbolism, and dangers. Within the epic stories of Scheherazade are her accounts of adventures on the high seas.
