Chamber Student Network - Social Media Marketing Competition

At FRCC-BCC 2121 Miller Dr. Longmont CO - Enter through door C4 Located in the Multicultural room.

Event Overview: Students will be working in teams of 2-4 and using a template to create a mini social media plan. The students will be teaching the other students about each the elements of a social media plan, then students will have 20 minutes to use the templates to create their own. At the halfway point (10 minutes) judges will meet with each table to provide feedback. Students will then be able to use the remaining 10 minutes to finalize their plan. At the end of the 20 minutes students will review their plans with the judges and the judges will determine their top 3.  

Here’s an outline of the event agenda and how we’d like you to participate:

1:00-1:15 Arrivals – students arrive, get food/drinks

1:15-1:30 Presentation – Introduction to CSN, Leadership, and the Chamber members. Here’s what we’re looking for out of an introduction:

• Introduce yourself
• Give a brief description of what you do and
• Your involvement with the Chamber

1:30-1:45 CSN Social Media Plan Introduction and Break outs

• Introduction to event today
• Leadership will break students into different teams and
• Explain each element of a social media plan.

1:45-2:10 CSN Social Media Plan – FIRST HALF

• Students work for 10 minutes
• Judges review with tables (10Minutes). Each judge will be given 1-2 minutes to review the plan with each table before moving to the next table. Our goal is to give the judges and student team 1 on 1 input before the final review with all of the judges.

2:10-2:30 CSN Social Media Plan – SECOND HALF

• Students work for 10 minutes
• Judges will review with tables (20Minutes). All judges will review the mini business plans and determine their top 3.

2:30-3:00 Networking – Wrap Up

• Prizes! Top 3.
• Mix and mingle
