As most of us know, even with hearing aids set at all the right parameters, it can still be difficult to understand what is being said. This is especially true in large, open areas with large crowds.
The good news is, there is a way to handle this issue. In fact, it’s already hidden in hearing aids out there! Telecoil and induction hearing loop technology have been available for some time.
The Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA), a consumer advocate group, is hosting a presentation Thursday, September 30 at 9am at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 1303 S Bross Lane, Longmont, CO 80501. Join us for Dr. Juliëtte Sterkens’ presentation, “Induction Hearing Loops and How They Improve Hearing for Hearing Aid Wearers & Cochlear Implant Recipients.” Dr. Sterkens is a Hearing Loop advocate, and she will be available for an informative Q&A after the presentation.
